TORSA has been dedicated to promoting surfing with passion over the years. In 2017, we aimed to provide professional training targeting domestic and international competitions, organizing domestic ranking tours according to international surfing organization standards. Our goal is to establish a healthy surfing environment in Taiwan, elevate the level of domestic surfing, and train local surfers to compete internationally, especially in preparation for the inclusion of surfing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
TORSA welcomes groups and individuals interested in developing surfing in Taiwan to join our membership system. Members will have the right to participate in domestic ranking tours and attend surfing-related seminars and various professional training activities offered by the association.
Membership Application Qualifications:
Members (or member representatives) have the right to vote, elect, be elected, and recall, with one vote per member (or member representative). However, supporting members do not have these rights.
Members are obligated to abide by the association’s constitution, resolutions, and pay membership fees.
If members (or member representatives) violate laws, the constitution, or do not comply with general assembly resolutions, the board of directors may issue a warning or suspend their membership. In cases of serious harm to the organization, the general assembly may decide to expel the member.
Members who lose their membership or are expelled by the general assembly will automatically leave the association.
Members may submit a written explanation to the association if they wish to resign.

TORSA will consolidate domestic resources and manpower to provide professional training and ranking tours in 2017.
Surfing Information Platform: TORSA will share relevant training courses, special lectures, various activities, and information on domestic and international events on its official website.
Professional Group Training: Group training will be planned by the Taiwan Surfing Alliance, providing all necessary teaching staff, training plans, and camps for professional courses.
Small Regional Competitions: TORSA can assist with judging panels for small competitions organized by clubs or individuals nationwide to increase competition simulation opportunities.
Annual Surfing Ranking Tour: The annual ranking tour aims to improve domestic surfers’ skill levels and competitiveness. It also highlights the importance of the ranking system for establishing a professional surfing environment in Taiwan.
Promotion of Domestic Surf Instructor Courses and Competition Judge Education:
Organizing Surfing Experience Camps: We hope to attract more Taiwanese to participate in surfing, seeking more attention and promotion in the future.
Promoting Surfing into the Education System: We aim to root surfing in basic physical education, giving the new generation of surfers the opportunity to advance their education through surfing achievements, establishing a forward-looking and comprehensive sports education environment.
