Welcome to the Jialeshui International Surfing Event!

The Jialeshui International Surfing Event is back! This annual competition is one of the most anticipated surfing events of the year, offering a wide range of disciplines, including Shortboard, SUP, Bodyboard, Longboard, and more.

With over 300 participants last year, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills and compete against some of the best surfers in Taiwan, as well as pros from around the world.

Registration Rules:

Individual Registration | No Group Registrations

Please note that we do not accept group registrations for competition entries. Each participant must log in individually, complete their own registration details, and purchase their own ticket to join the competition.

Eligibility for Multiple Categories:

You are welcome to register for multiple categories based on your gender and age, but each category must involve a different type of board (e.g., Longboard, Shortboard, SUP, etc.).

Restrictions on Using the Same Board Type:

One Category Per Board Type:

For most participants, if you are using a specific board type (e.g., Longboard or Shortboard), you cannot register that same board type in more than one category.

Special Rule for U12 Previous Contestants:

Any U12 competitor who placed in the top three in a previous surfing competition must register for the ASC U18 category.

Special Rule for Previous Amateur Competitors:

Any competitor who reached the final of the amateur category in a previous TORSA surfing contest must register for the open category.

Special Rule for U12 Previous Contestants:

Any U12 competitor who placed in the top three in a previous surfing competition must register for the ASC U18 category.

Individual Registration

Registering for the competition as an individual is straightforward. Follow these steps to ensure your registration is complete:

Browse the Categories:
- Navigate to the Categories section below to view the available competition categories (e.g., Shortboard, Longboard, SUP, etc.).
- Select the categories that you wish to compete in. If you’re unsure of the rules, take another look at the rule section above.
Add to Cart:
- Once you’ve selected a category, click on the product page, review the details, and click “Join This Event”
- Repeat this process if you wish to register for multiple categories.
Fill Out Registration Details at Checkout:
- Proceed to checkout where you will need to fill out the required registration details, such as your name and ID number.
- Important: Ensure these details are accurate, as they are crucial for insurance purposes. We will not be held responsible for any issues arising from incorrect information.
Apply Any Club Membership Discount Codes (If Applicable):
- If you have a club membership discount code, apply it during checkout to receive the appropriate discount on your registration fee.
Review and Confirm Your Order:
- Before completing your purchase, review your cart to ensure all details are correct.
- Confirm that you have selected the correct categories and that your registration details are accurate.
Complete the Purchase:
- Proceed to payment, choose your preferred payment method, and complete the purchase.
- Once payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order details.
Check Your Email:
- After registration, check your email for a confirmation message that includes your competition details and any additional instructions

U12 Shortboard Category Registration

Special Note for the U12 Youth Category:
The U12 category is a shortboard category. To encourage the growth of young surfers, no registration fee (including processing fees) will be charged for this category. However, if participating in other categories, the registration fee (including processing fees) will still apply.
Competing in Other Categories:
U12 participants can register in both the U12 and U18 shortboard categories without issue. However, attempting to register in U12, U18, and another shortboard category (e.g., Shortboard Amateur) is not permitted.
Special Rule for U12 Previous Contestants:
Any U12 competitor who placed in the top three in a previous surfing competition must register for the ASC U18 category.

U18 Shortboard Category Registration

The U18 category is open to participants who are under 18 years old. Participants in this category can compete in other board type events as well, such as Longboard, SUP, Bodyboard, etc. However, each board type must be used in a different category.

Master's Category: 45 years and older

The Master’s category is a longboard category open to participants who are 45 years and older (born in 1979 or earlier).

Participants can apply for both the Master’s longboard category and either the Amateur or ASC Open longboard categories. However, registering in all three (Master’s, Amateur, and ASC Open) is not permitted.

Club Registration?

Important Notice:

We do not accept Group Registrations. Each individual is required to log in, fill out the relevant information, and purchase their own ticket in order to join the competition.

As a Club Manager, you have the option to register and purchase a club membership package that will cover your entire club’s membership fees. Attention: Each individual is still required to log in, fill out the relevant information, and purchase their own ticket in order to join the competition. We do not accept group registrations. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Add the “Group Membership” to Your Cart:

Begin by adding the “Group Membership” product to your cart.

2. Fill Out the Surf Club Information at Checkout:

During the checkout process, you will be required to provide additional details in the Surf Club Information section:
- Surf Club Name: Enter the name of your surf club.
- Surf Club Name (English): Provide the English version of your surf club name. (Important: This name will be used for your “Membership Fee Waiver Coupon Code.”)
- Manager Name: Enter your full name as the club manager.
- Manager Email: Provide a valid email address where you can be reached.
- Manager Phone Number: Enter your contact phone number for any follow-ups or inquiries.

3. Place the Order:

Once all the required information is filled out, proceed to place your order.

4. Receive Confirmation:

After successfully placing the order and completing the purchase of the club membership package, you will receive two emails:
- A confirmation email acknowledging your purchase.
- A second email containing the unique coupon code.

5. Coupon Code for Club Members:

The second email will contain the unique coupon code. This code can be distributed to your club members, allowing them to waive the standard individual member fee (500NT) during their registration.

Assist Your Members:

1. Contact Your Members Before They Place Orders:

Before your members place their individual orders, reach out to them and advise them to obtain the discount code before purchasing their event ticket. This is crucial because individual cancellations are by default non-refundable.

2. Encourage Registration with the Coupon Code:

Emphasize to your club members that using the provided coupon code will give them a better price on their registration. It also ensures they are officially registered under your club, which could offer additional benefits.
