TORSA Taiwan Ocean Leisure Sports Development Association - Key Organizational Officers and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Chairman:

  • Internally, the Chairman oversees and supervises the affairs of the Association.
  • Externally, the Chairman represents the Association and serves as the Chair of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors.

Duties of the Board of Directors:

  1. Review and approve the qualifications of members (or their representatives).
  2. Elect and dismiss the executive directors and the Chairman.
  3. Approve the resignation of directors, executive directors, and the Chairman.
  4. Appoint and dismiss staff.
  5. Draft the annual work plan, reports, budget, and final accounts.
  6. Execute other necessary tasks.

Duties of the Board of Supervisors:

  1. Supervise the execution of the Board of Directors’ work.
  2. Audit the annual final accounts.
  3. Elect and dismiss the executive supervisor.
  4. Approve the resignation of supervisors and the executive supervisor.
  5. Supervise other necessary matters.

Responsibilities of the Secretary-General:

The Secretary-General is responsible for handling the affairs of the Association under the Chairman’s directives. Additional staff members may be appointed by the Chairman, subject to approval by the Board of Directors, and reported to the competent authority for the record. The dismissal of the Secretary-General must first be approved by the competent authority.
